Happy Fall!

We have been learning so much this Fall! In September, we learned about apples and tasted the three kinds (green, red and yellow). We graphed our favorite kind and the Red Delicious won! On October 6, we celebrated Walk to School Day and we made a class banner with shoes on it to remind us of the importance of being healthy. We walked two laps (very long!!) around the school and we got to eat ice pops and drink water. That Friday, October 8th we went on our first field trip to Fisher's Orchard. The field trip was awesome! After 8 years of field trips as a teacher, this one went as smoothly as possible which was nice! The kids saw scarecrows, apple trees, we went on a tractor ride and listened to Ms. Chris tell us about apples and pumpkins. We took a class picture at the farm that is super cute!!! Each child picked a bag of apples and one pumpkin to take home with them. We had a great time on our trip and we are all looking forward to the rest of October and learning about pumpkins! How exciting!
