November and Our Writing Conferences

November was a busy month for our Kindergarten class! We learned how to add by adding how many orange and yellow feathers were on our turkeys. We also learned how to compare and contrast stories. We learned about life long ago and what it was like to be a Pilgrim and an Indian in comparison to life today.

Our student led conferences were the main focus for this month in our class. We worked very hard to prepare for this big event by collecting writing samples and practicing reading them to share with our parents. On November 23 our parents arrived at 10:30 am and we shared our writing with them. We sang Thanksgiving songs and had a light snack together.
